The Missouri Perfusion Society is pleased to support the Patrick Dewitt Longenecker Perfusion Student Scholarship in honor and memory of the beloved son of Robert and Mary Longenecker.
How Does it Work?
The Perfusion Student Scholarship Contest is a cash award presented to one student each year. The winning paper will be presented by the submitting student at the annual scientific meeting. The Missouri Perfusion Society will cover the cost of travel and hotel.
Who Can Apply?
The applicants MUST BE a perfusion student currently enrolled in a CAAHEP accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion. Candidates will submit an original scientific abstract which presents in scientific case report form a clinical experience which pertains to cardiovascular perfusion.
How to Apply?
Submit a case report summarizing an unusual case that you have either observed or participated in during your clinical rotation. Past submissions have included the pregnant patient on CPB, bridge to transplant patients, coagulopathic patients as well as ECMO case studies.
The REQUIRED format is journal style to include an ABSTRACT AND REFERENCE section. Submissions other than the aforementioned format will be excluded from the contest.
